2 Minutes With... William Britton

1. Describe Assistive Technology in one word.

2. What does inclusive innovation mean to you?

To me, inclusive innovation is about structurally and societally enabling people to be included.

3. Why do you think accessibility for disabled people is an important issue?

It allows them to participate in many things we often take for granted and can be anything from opening a tin can to providing a democratic voice.

4. Where do you think the next big opportunity is for the development of inclusive technology?

Mobile technology. I think the movement towards adopting and harnessing the power of mobile technology is going to provide big opportunities. As the population grows mobile savvy and interconnected we're already finding users are seeking mobile technology solutions - this is triggering public services to act to harness adoption.
